A very subjective look into AWFC

Arsenal Football Club as a whole mean business. The aggression and intention during the early days of the transfer season for both the men’s AND the women’s squad has been energizing and relieving.The fact that we’re bringing players in NOW and not a day or two before the window ends is something I appreciate because I am an emotional wreck during these windows so I’m glad things are getting done early doors. BTW I am fully aware that I basically said the same thing 3 times on this very paragraph haha.

As with Ilestedt, I know absolutely NOTHING about Cloe Lacasse, other than she’s Canadian and that she’s blonde. As much as I wanna talk about diversity and that we keep signing blondes, that is not the topic for today, my friends. I have watched a few highlight videos and unlike with Amanda, I have seen a lot of footage and I like what I see. I like her energy, her finishing is great, has a sweet left foot. Vivi, Beth, McCabe, Caitlin, Stina and now Cloe. Minus the injuries, it feels like a solid rotation up front. I assume we’ll offload Hurtig & Jodie while Gio probably will go out on loan, and this is based on nothing but just my opinion so don’t assume I know what I’m talking about. I still feel we need a couple of players although I think Teyah will overlap LWM in the pecking order very soon, which I’ll write about in a few days.

We also got good news via an instagram story that shows Viv finally jogging on grass. I don’t need to tell you what that means to us all as fans and I certainly don’t have to tell you what that means to her, her family, friends, the Netherlands and the entirety of the footballing universe. It’s huge and may it continue to be a great recovery for her.

Everything seems to be going to plan…
