A very subjective look into AWFC

I’m currently sitting at a gate about to take off for Nashville for a fun show and I don’t have much time to write at the moment but if you think I’m not going to mention the 2 big news of the day, so far, then you don’t me and that might be a good thing after all.

I came home late last night from one of the coolest gigs I’ve ever done and I’ll tell you all about it when I’m allowed to, but the fact is that I went to bed basically meditating on what had just happened and I tried to process it all. A few minutes after laying my head on the pillow I passed out and was woken up by my alarm as I do, the first thing I did was check Arsenal news and there it was…

The best footballer on the planet according to yours truly aka Katie McCabe has signed a new contract. You don’t need me to tell you how massive this is, do I? The fact that Chelsea, Man City, Bayern etc are NOT getting her makes it that much sweeter honestly, as petty as that sounds.

The reason why I think Katie is the best in the world is because of her leadership, her work off the pitch, her performances for club and country, etc… yeah there’s Bonmati, Hermoso and others but for my money, the little I have, Katie, if not the best, has to be top 5 in the world.

So, with this contract extension AWFC are guaranteed badassery for the foreseeable future. She also shows that she loves being part of a team in which she isn’t THE captain but one of the many captains on that side. Furthermore I anticipate that sooner rather than later she will take up a more central role and I can see her playing as an 8 or as a 6. 

Real quick too, the other piece of news was that we saw Leah running, kicking and in one picture she was playing rock, paper, scissors by herself. This is a bad joke/take but if you get it you get it.
