Things can change so quickly in football. This time last week things seemed so negative for a lot of fans out there. Seemingly out of the WSL race, Chelsea looking totally dominant and even after losing to City, I didn’t think they would beat Chelsea at their stadium, but I’m so glad I was wrong, as I often am.

One thing I said which remains true is that we are NOT out of the race. The reason why I was optimistic about it was because of the fact that hinted above, which is that we never know what will actually happen. There are things more probable than others, of course, yet that’s what life is: a series of unpredictable events. So, as life coachy as this might sound, we need to learn this. Well, I know this, some of the fan base needs to learn it. Might be an age thing, or a generational thing.

When I say its an age thing I am saying that for some of us, say 35+, we are old enough to know this and how it applies to life, not just football in general. With that comes experience, learning to manage expectations and assumptions and all that good stuff.

As far as it being a generational thing, it’s no secret that Gen Z is expecting instant reward and results, based on growing up with social media, or a specific type of social media. So a lot of people see the present as the immediate future.

Either way, the immediate future looks positive. We all know that we basically have to win every single league game, including matches against both Man City and Chelsea

You know all this, but sometimes we need to read and hear it over and over because its easy to focus on the doom and gloom.

Not here and not by me.

Enjoy your week
