A very subjective look into AWFC

Daphne is my keeper.

She will always be my keeper.

No, I will not call her “DVD” because that’s blasphemous, and if you don’t agree I don’t think we can be friends lol.

Everybody and their mother in woso has an opinion about AWFC having too many keepers and people that want to convince you that they know why have just as much of an idea as you or me. It’s nuts. It makes zero sense and it also makes a lot of sense.

What I reject is the idea that Daphne isn’t good enough and that we need cover for her. That’s absolutely insane. Borbe did well but IMHO Van Domselaar is considerably better, like absolutely no brainer. There’s no universe in which Daphne is a sub keeper for anyone, in any team, in any league.

Yes, she has had injury problems and I completely understand people wanting cover for her, absolutely. However, if the angle is because Daphne isn’t good, then you miss me with that 10 times out of 10. And if you are thinking that “nobody hates on Daphne” then I encourage you to swing my X for a few min and you’ll see people talking about Misa as their first choice.

I’m sure she’s great, and I have seen her play a few times.

She’s no Van Domselaar.

Nobody is.

Yes, I might be biased because she’s dutch and she’s one of my favorite keepers ever, after SVV and Endler, but come on guys! what are we doing? are we really doubting Daphne?

Well, this is coming from the same fan base that hates on Beth Mead, Vivianne, Miedema and Katie McCabe, so I’m not surprised by anything anymore.
