Pelova looked like the best player in the world, and good for her.
Also, there is no way in hell that I was watching the same match because Foord was maybe, maaaaybe, the 5th best player on the pitch. What is happening? Who stole the eyes and brains of those fans?
KCC, Russo, Hinds and Stanway all had considerably a better match. Madness.
Everything is fucking weird, my friends.
I will share a YouTube show I did with The Highbury Squad tomorrow but we spoke about the state of our club, my thoughts on the relevance of AWFC as a whole and of course these are all things you have read here but I was glad I got to express my opinion in a bigger format and to a bigger audience.
This is the best “paper over cracks” example ever. This does not turn things around and it doesn’t validate anything in my eyes. We deserve more and we must demand more from the board.
We were nowhere near the football club of the year yesterday and that is unacceptable.
With that said… I love the players, love how passionate Leah was after the final whistle and I will always try to support any and all versions of who they are on and off the pitch.
I know this are tough and weird and people feel very strongly about lots of things, including myself. I just hope something changes soon because if it doesn’t then we will not get CL next season and that is catastrophic.
